Go Sally!
Perry: That would take you about 20 minutes. Then what?
Hal: I agree variety is crucial on most hikes, repetition is generally boring. This is something of an aside for me, it's fun simply because it is so different from what we all normally do. Still, if four proves impossible, it won't break my heart to root for others while I take the day off.
Zé: I'm with you. This would be boring and lonely by myself. If we had a few guys that wanted to do it, it would be a lot of fun. I generally agree with you on the breaks vs. hours, but I'm not sure here. It was really tough to take 5:30 on the second lap. I think the "coefficient of ease" that I was postulating is about 80% of one's normal training speed. I move more efficiently and more naturally if I'm not way off my usual pace. I'd have to have a larger sample size that 1 attempt to generalize very well though. See also the posting to Steve. You in?
Steve: We still need to check out some other adventures! Walt and I are already scouting the Mission Creek adventure. You in? How about Snow Creek - I need to get some longer mileage in soon. Skyline is steep, but not long. I've got a 50k coming up Dec 6, so I need some longer miles to adjust to the greater distance.
