Long time lurker, very seldom post.
Tried to hold out til 830 to join the 2nd wave of back to backers, got bored and hot so left at 645. Still ran into a lot of great people on the trail and the bar. Stayed in touch with Tina on their journey and am sure they made it fine. Can't wait to hear their trip reports.

Was good to see you and Doreen. Sorry i missed the gathering at the tram bar but once i got down i headed home and wasn't going anywhere.

Our group made the hike and are back in San Diego. It was nice and fun meeting most of the folks doing Skyline back to back and drndr and Florian posting above. Thank you, Florian, for putting some reality into my hike time management. I later met up with a big group of SAR members coming down Skyline who showed equal concern that it was 3pm and I still had 3 miles, 3000 ft to go. I got to the tram in the dark at about 6:30pm. After leaving the SAR group, the only other people I met were a couple on their way down doing a full cactus-2-cloud-2-cactus at about 6000ft. Will post pictures I took in a few days.
