That's up top, Tina. The forecasts have dropped a few degrees in the past couple of days. I'm anticipating Friday night lows will be in the high 50's with a 8.30- 9am Saturday temp at the Museum of about 70.

In checking the NOAA site it looks like Friday night low around 42º and the Saturday high around 52º. The map feature on the site lets you pick the location you are requesting weather for and since its a topo map you can get the elevation pretty close to where you need it. The elevation for these numbers is 7800ft.

Sweetness! Love those temps. The 8:00 start time was the only potential problem, and the temps dropping and possible light cloud cover to shade us from direct sun would be ideal.

I hope everyone is injury free right now. All my old joints are working great right now - this couldn't come at a better time. Plus, I need to lose a few pounds before the holidays!

I'm with Ellen, when she mentioned that I'll probably explore different trails after the 7th. I think I'll be all Skylined up after this weekend!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone obscenely early on Saturday (long before the carp of dawn)!

This sounds like a great hike (love the name "Mad Women Spring" -- bet there's a story there). Give me a few weeks to recover from the Terrible Two and I'll be ready. I'm self-employed, so can go during the week as well as weekends. It sounds like other people from the board are interested in going as well.

fyi-in regards to the press enterprise being present here is the plan. there will be a camera man at the bottom of the mountain station when we all come down the 8am tram, then he will drive some of us along with my parents to the museum. he (meaning the camera man/ Dave) will film us going up then get some of the footage going up maybe to the picnic tables himself. he will go back down at that point-ride the tram up, get more footage and find the notch to film people as they come up. so, point being when you see the camera men, please feel free to tell any story you would like. not sure what kind of spin we are putting on this as of yet. would like everyone who feels comfortable to put forward their story so we can piece it together after the fact.
