Hello everyone, I plan to do one trip up with 3 others on Saturday. 6 maybe 7am start. Is there a paid parking facility near the museum if street parking is not available? I kept reading about people meeting in the museum lot. Is it ok to park in the museum lot now? Thank you. Yes, I am the one who took 14 hours to do Skyline in June 2007. I am hoping for a less laughable number this time, say... 10 :)

Hi Lee,

Glad to have you join our twisted crew next weekend.

The museum for the most part is safe, there is paid parking at the hyatt hotel right across the street, its your choice.

I wouldn't say your time is laughable, doing skyline regardless of your time is an accomplishment.

See you then.
:)

Thank you, Tina.
Maybe I'll get to see you and others on your second ascent. At my speed, I would not be surprised if some of you pass me twice, the second time being your third helping of Skyline :)

Hi all, just wanted to say Hello. I'll be joining you on Skyline this Saturday. This will be my first time so I'm "only" going once. I'm one of the people in Lee's group and it's 100% his fault that I'm doing this. I've been preparing for this for almost two months now on trails like Baldy and Marion Mtn and I'm really looking forward to the big day. I hope I get to meet some of you as you zip past us.

A buddy of mine who owns an airplane was so intrigued by this event that he decided to fly to PSP and photograph us on the trail. It's really hard to shoot hikers from the air but he has detailed maps by which to find us. So if you see a white and red Citabria circling, consider it aerial support :D

Some of us are more prone to addiction than others. Skyline is OK--there are other hikes I like a LOT more--but the getting up so doggone early keeps some of us Skyline sober.

I do have a bit of an addictive personality when it comes to trails. I have one near my home that I've done 85 times and I still haven't had enough (although it's not anywhere near the level of Skyline). So we shall see...

I'm looking forward to doing new hikes in the desert after the Terrible Two this Saturday. You are an encyclopedia of information on so many trails that I'd like to tag along on a hike of your choosing. As payment for being my trail guide, I'll supply the Major Dickinson's Blend coffee and White Hawk IPA

I'm looking forward to someone to go with me to Bulleye Flat in the Indian Canyons and the remains an old Wellman line shack at Mad Women Spring. Let me know what time and day work for you. No payment necessary.
