zip would not be able to see it from his house. i drove into the valley yesterday and it looked horrible. it is supposed to heat up even more, i hope the fires become contained and nothing more pops up.

That picture looks like a volcano is erupting. That's a lot like what the Millard Fire looked like from here.

bad looking fire.....I was on the SJ peak today and couldn't really see any sign of the 74 fire, but over to the west you couldn't even see really at all.

zip - just drove back from Joshua Tree and could see smoke from the latest fire in Yucaipa - hope you and your family are safe.
