Looks like that was taken just after sunset about this time of year. If you want to actually see Jupiter, its that distinct white dot in the southeastern sky after the sun goes down (go out around 9PM). It'll be visible all night long as it travels across the southern sky, disappearing in the southwest just before sunrise.

Go outside at 5AM and you can also see Venus; its the brightest thing in teh eastern sky just before sunrise.

(YMMV depending on smoke and cloud cover).
