Round Valley Campsites

Anyone have any information on the sites available at Round Valley? I am trying to decide if 1 large tent would be better than several small tents. Are there large (12x12) flat spots for tents, or is better to have a few small tents? I called the permit office, the person that answered has never been there and doesn't know.

Any suggestions on good spot?

a few small tents will work easier.....i stayed at "lotus" and it had a nice flat area for 1 or two tents

friendowl has pointed you towards one of the best sites up there. A couple of the sites will handled the large tent. The problem is the sites are taken on a first come basis. A couple small ones is best.

In my one time wander thru the area, the sites seemed large to me.

It also seemed to me that the sites were far from each other - nice!
