Water in creeks near Saddle Junction - 1 day backpack

Postby kngalaric » Sat Jun 27, 2009 10:25 pm

Hello,

My wife and I are going to do a short jaunt up to Skunk Cabbage, wondering about the water conditions. Is there enough to filter?

Anyone have the scoop on the best wilderness campsite? in the Tahquitz Valley area.

Oddly enough, I have never camped in the San Jacintos. Very familiar though - we're leaving tomorrow so help ASAP would be great.

Thanks,

Allen Riedel

was at skunk yesterday, there is plenty in the middle area. If you on the Jct from the long valley trail to the Tahquitz Valley Trail when you cross a small wooden walk path, there will be some running that feeds Tahquitz creek.. Yummie!!!

We hiked thru yesterday and Willow Creek and the creeks in and near Tahquitz Valley all have good water flowing.
