before coffmans crag?

FYI, Coffmans Crag is no longer called that, its new name is BFR. I am talking with authorities to have it legally added to the maps as such. For those of you that don't know me and don't know what BFR is can someone help them out? My mouth stays relatively clean on the boards, hence the word relatively...

perry-that is exactly the one, no one has showed me yet.

kathyw.-some hiking friends of mine from "meet-up" hiking group were talking about doing that.

From this thread skyline is going to be busy come October.....i just love that trail, i really do.

Keep me posted - I'd like to do that too, schedule permitting.

Howdy Kathy :)

Please tell me that you'll go down the PCT (Fuller Ridge etc) back to Palm Springs. I might be up for that. I can't imagine going back down Skyline  My quadriceps muscles feel like they're going to pop when I come down Bear Canyon and that is only a 5800 ft descent

Hope to see you on a trail soon!

Ellen

Ellen: Going back down the PCT makes some sense, it's just kinda long. Peak to Creek would be 25.5 miles, but it is a much gentler downhill than Skyline.

It would make for an interesting trip though - all the way up and all the way down. An up-and-down Skyline would work out to about 34 miles, I think, (though Skyline is getting ever shorter!) whereas museum to peak to creek would work out to about 43. Either way, that would be one crazy long day!

I'll see if bluerail will lend me his jetpack and I'll visit you along the way!

FIGHT ON: You've got way too much time on your hands my friend. Back away from the keyboard, and get out there on a trail.

C2C Q&A

Postby Cy Kaicener » Fri Jun 26, 2009 1:23 pm

Here is one for the record books and safer than doing two or three Skylines at this time. Rick Kent did FIVE Mt Baldy hikes in one day last Saturday from Manker Flats.
Thats about 18000 feet of elevation gain and loss. :)
