Update on June 27 Get Together

We missed you saturday.

I will be there, i am looking forward to doing san bernardino peak. I don't think that was one of the peaks we did saturday. i will tell you that i have a favorite new route to san g. via dobbs (or is it jepson). the intensity of that short cut was insane and i loved it. now i just have to figure out how to do it again.

Karin, Lance and I took that same route down when we summited San G in the snow in March. The short cut is via Dobbs. Like you, I don't know if I could find it again, but I'm sure Lance can. You're right, it was very intense.

You're going to love the San Bernardino peak trail. Based on your speed, you can bag both west San Bernardino peak and east San Bernardino peak and still beat me back to the trail head

Hi Tina! I'm glad you're coming. How about chips and maybe some sweets? Also, Ellen's right, I think you'll like the SB Peak trail. It's about the same drive time as Vivian, but brings you in at the other end of the mountain range, so you get a whole new area to explore.

Everyone: I'll PM you with directions to my house as soon as I get a chance to write them up.

Desert People: here's a simple description of the back route coming to the ranger station.
1) Exit 10 fwy at Beaumont Ave and turn right on Beaumont Ave. The name will become Oak Glen Road, but just keep going and you'll be fine. Go 5.9 miles.
2) Turn left on Wildwood Canyon and proceed 4.2 miles.
3) The 3rd stop sign will be at Bryant street. Turn right. Bryant is the street that intersects with the 38 at the ranger station, so go 4.7 miles and you're there.

Just over a week til remaining...I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

lol, man that's eating at you! the last two peaks weren't bad at all; however our cross-country shortcut descent over manzanita was not necessarily pleasant.

but i guess you guys had some energy left, since you were running the last 4 miles
