Norma, Norris and I took a fun hike up San Jacinto by way of the Marion Mtn Trail. Though it was foggy and rainy on the drive up, once we got above ~5K the day was a bluebird! It was interesting for me to see the summit area for the first time without snow, since all my previous trips have been in winter. Dave, i enjoyed your photos. I haven't hiked the west side of San Jacinto in a while.

Great pics from your trip---what was the reference you made in the trip write-up on flicker that said you helped a gravely injured trail runner from a snare left in the trail?
thanks,
tommy

:D That was a private joke. On the way down, someone  played a prank on Norma and me and erected a few dead branches across the trail at a few spots...theoretically, a trail runner could have collided with them. But we removed them.
