I am looking to take my kids, ages 12 and 10 on a two night hike. They do have overnight hiking experience. Can someone suggest a nice route that we could take. I am looking at San Jacinto or San Gorgonio. Thanks.

Matt, I would suggest you go up the tram and hike into Round Valley or Tamarack and spent the night. Day hike the peak the next day and do some exploring. Next day back out to the tram.

I second that suggestion. Did this last October with my boy, some other Dads and boys from ages 7 - 9 and it worked out perfectly.

There is also a lovely campsite at "Algiers" on Gorgoino via Moymer. The Moymer trail is nicely shaded with Oak and Pine on the way up, I was there about 3 weeks ago, lots of lupine and indian paintbrush in bloom, among other wildflowers. Not so steep thanks to switchbacks. I think kids could do that with not too much difficulty. A most enjoyable trip.
