Skyline Trail conditions

Did anyone run into any snow on Skyline this week end, and if so, how much?

Howdy Cy :-)

Tina and Doreen went up Skyline yesterday. Tina indicated that the snow was not a problem. I'll probably head back up Skyline this weekend.

Miles of smiles,

Hi Cy,

Doreen and i went up Saturday, the only real snow is on the traverses but it is walkable without any problem.
By Saturday it should be perfect.

Thanks for the beta Tina. Looks like quite a few people are going to be out there this weekend! I'm hoping to myself, barring any unforseen circumstances.

Everybody: What time are you hitting the trail?

I'll be there with Steve, Ellen and Kathryn (and Karin?). Probably leave at 5am, maybe earlier if it warms up significantly.

It'll be Kathryn's first time - nobody going up needs to bring any food, she'll have enough for all board members on Skyline :)

....shes gonna need a bigger pack.
I've been listening to her talk about what food she's gonna bring and seriously I think she might get it worked out. it's interesting being around someone who's not able to deal with bars or glue packs. what did those guys that did Lone Pine with costumes call bacon? alpine super food ?

Well, one of the reasons I bring so much food along is that somebody eats half of it!
