Anyway, The tram knows what I can do to help. They know I have nothing to show for it but my knowledge and that is fine, weather is a hobby that some make professional, like snowboarding or your favorite sports star . . .

Now I would appreciate it if you leave the negative comments out in here and check the event forecasting and then make your assumption on the wind, snow, thunder, rain forecasts provided on the tram weather center.
I do not have time for it nor will be haunted of my past for my professional job now ...

I have work to do on Late Friday's storm system, into the overnight ...

As of now, the storm is weak, but will likely bring light activity across the area later, mainly increasing overnight with wrap around moisture and an East wind.

I developed a new model as well to help with the forecasts up at the tram due to where it is located, tested it yesterday ...



The above should help in further forecasts for the area itself. Anyway I have lots of work to do on the storm, not much time to do it either so see ya.

Perfect example of "guerrilla marketing" gone bad. When the audience finds out they're being duped, they don't react kindly. When the advertiser gets caught, he/she backpedals:

Geez, he even edited his previous two posts (only ever posted three of them, and they're all on this thread).

Wonder if Mr. Martin/Hiking Joe/Joe Schmo/Mr. Minkow (whatever his/her true identity really is ) is really going to go hiking on San Jacinto this weekend like he mentions above. Might have to edit that one too.

Gotta' go with Zé and Pydeux on this one. I am embarrassed for the Tramway in taking this approach to the weather.

This whole incident reminds of today's word of the day: poseur

That's because people hated me here so I had to go under the line. I was directed here again from a friend in a Palm Tree forum which I frequent. Then I saw the personal attack and had to defend it.

Anyway, the tram made an excellent decision to push this style on. Not only are they going to get custom designed forecasts for their area, but a weather center designed for them in which the people that view it will learn to trust the weather forecasts finally from them, and prepare accordingly, altering in them returning again with that trust to ride again ...

We have a winter weather advisory out for snowfall chances, and it has been mentioned for quite a while and that is a good track record. No strong winds will accompany this storm like the last storms, and it will snow on the tram summit.

Anyone hiking will need to remember the storm is coming in later Friday, and a second impulse is possible Saturday afternoon, which will be quick, and shorter lived than Friday's ...

My advice - Stick to the weather center for a whole month, then make your decision, because calling it out now is immature to say the least until you have facts the forecasts are inaccurate. My contact is there for conversations etc but I will not be returning here because of the hate.

Two points to consider:

1) No one has posted 'hate' mail about you. We are just calling you out on a question of character. When you submit posts such as you have on this and other forums, you severely undermine your credibility as well as your integrity. To say that others 'hate' you is to not admit responsibility for your own actions. In other words... 'you made your bed, now you have to sleep in it.'

2) A forum is only as good as it contributors. If a troll or other fraud is in the forum then we deal with it.
