Conditions, Devil's Slide Trail to Summit

I'm hiking the Devil's Slide trail to the summit with a planned overnight at Little Round Valley on April 17-18th. Does anyone have any recent trail conditions for this section of the mountain? What's the snow level like above Wellman's Divide?

I was with a group at Jean Peak this afternoon; the conditions above Wellman's Divide were not bad. We made it up and down without using our crampons or any snow shoes.

I did Devil's Slide to the peak today. There's still lots of snow (1+ ft) from Saddle Juction up, with the exception of exposed south-facing slopes. It's well consolidated and I only post-holed a few times. I was definitely glad to be wearing microspikes.

Also, it's really easy to lose the trail between about Stawberry Junct and Wellman Cienega.
