Anyone climbing Snow Creek this weekend?

Just curious if anyone's planning a trip up Snow Creek this weekend.

Hey, just a little off the topic, but I have a question for you guys that have actually done this route. When I'm coming back from Whitewater, there's a very clear view of the chutes leading up to the peak. It looks like the angle gets to 70 or more degrees as you get well up into the chute. Is it really that steep, or is that just an illusion?

Sounds fun. It may have improved with the recent warm afternoons. If the snow is too soft higher up, you can veer left towards Miller Peak. I think that's about 40 to 45 degrees incline. The final chute right next to the summit is very steep, like 50 or 55 degrees.

Folly Peak ridge to the right has a steeper chute. It's very impressive when you're looking up at it. 70 degrees sounds about right. Even with 2 ice axes, Southern California may be too warm for that.

Yeah you can't miss us, we are gonna have quite a few people going up if everyone who planned on going is still coming. I would love to hear how the ski descent goes, so please post a trip report if you get a chance. Hopefully I'll catch you Saturday.
