Thanks for the link and heads up on the route.

Some of those pictures look amazing. The route looks in good condition right now.

The author did say there was "extremely soft snow" near the summit.

The trip report was a very interesting read, and the photos were good also. Having only taken the PCT route my only question is what is the tunnel.
