It depends

I tend to think May-June is the best time to go. April is usually a bit early but it varies year to year. It all depends on the snow. The area near the Tram can be very dangerous with steep snow and ice. Without serious mountaineering equipment and experience I would not consider it for a few more months at least.

Once the route is doable I'm sure there will plenty of updates on this site.

Didn't mean for this to be a separate thread. Any chance of moving the previous post to the advise thread and deleting this one?

Even though you posted your response in a new thread, I got it. Thanks!
Stood alone on a mountain top, starin' out at the great divide. I could go east, I could go west. It was all up to me to decide.

I was going to ask you, but now I see this old phpBB2 board doesn't have a merge function. :(
