Some email providers are blocking the registration confirmation email (pure block, doesn't show up in bulk folder), so I changed the settings so that it's not required. What this means is that if you make a typo in your email address, you won't receive notifications of private messages or replies on threads that you've subscribed to and nobody can email you. If those things matter, it's important to double-check that you typed it correctly. This is assuming that your email provider doesn't block emails from this board.
