Transferring to New Server...

Postby Perry » Thu Sep 25, 2014 9:35 pm

Sometime in the next week, the board will be down, and I'll have to transfer everything to a new server. GoDaddy says this different hosting plan is "lightning-fast" with 99.9% uptime. Hopefully that will be true. If this doesn't solve the problem of slowness and downtime, I'll move the forum to a new web hosting provider. Right now, the forum is working, but I can't guarantee that new posts will transfer over. Maybe.

Thanks Grandmaster P :) Please let us know if we can help financially with web hosting.

Nice! I noticed that too. It may be done. I'm not sure because GoDaddy is confusing.

Ellen, thanks for the offer. There was no additional cost to make this change. It was a trade-off because I lost some features of the old hosting plan, but I never used those features and doubt that I ever will use them. If I had needed to switch web hosting, then I was considering the possibility of asking for help. Fingers crossed, I think it's fixed already.
