WTB: Bearikade "Weekender" Bear Canister

You: Disgusted with carrying bear canisters in any form.
Me: Dumb enough to still hike where they require bear canisters.

Is that old Bearikade Weekender Bear Canister still laying about, collecting dust? I can help. :)

HJ,
Not exactly, but I have a Garcia I am willing to loan out. Similar in size, though heavier. I'm also close by in OC.

Ah, very kind of you. I actually have my dad's old Garcia available to me, but it's a heavy beast. I think the Bearikade is 3/4 lbs or so lighter -- and the Bearikade holds more food. I'm planning a week long trip in the Sierra next month, so I wanted the extra capacity -- and I wanted to shed some weight. I thank you for your kind offer.

They look good. How much are you asking for each one? How much use have they seen? And any problems with either of them?

They are both in excellent condition and have only been used a hand full of times. I am looking to get $225 for the weekender and $275 for the expedition with free shipping. The weekender is currently listed for $288 and the expedition $349 new on the wild-ideas website with a two - four week back order. Let me know if you have any questions or need additional pics.

It looks like the e-mail never made it on my side. I am still showing 0 new messages. If you want to just e-mail me at hoovillemd@hotmail.com that would work or try sending it again.
Thanks
