I have Kathoola Microspikes and they've been great so far.

I picked up a pair of these, as a backup for possible gift, since they've been on sale. I need to take them out of the box and compare them to the Kathoolas:

+1 on Kathoola microspikes. Note, the sizing runs large. The L size is right for me and I wear size 13 to 14. I think they are designed to fit over very bulbous cold weather boots a.k.a. "bunny boots".

I'm surprised how inexpensive the Hillsound is, but it seems like the 3-tooth triangles would be more likely to hold wet snow.

Another +1 for the Microspikes. Used them in all kinds of snow last winter and they were great.

How the sizing seems to you may depend on where you are in the size range. I use Medium (US Men's 7-11), because I wear 10 boots, and I find the fit very tight, difficult to put on. Perhaps because I am close to the upper end of the size range.

Here is my initial review of Hillsound Trail Crampons. Does anyone have any experience regarding the durability of Hillsound products?

I've noticed there's some confusion regarding the different products Hillsound makes. Here's a link to a table I made showing the differences:

I hope it helps eliminate some of the confusion.
