Is this something that interests you? Or are there too many message boards already? Please comment.

Perry, do you mean an entirely new BB or a new forum folder within MSJOR Forum? My first reaction is that the San Gabriels message board has L.A. covered. Nevertheless, you might have something innovative in mind. :)

I meant an entirely new board dedicated to that. "Walking in LA" so to speak. But more like trails in Griffith Park, Santa Monica's, Verdugo's, Mt. Lukens, maybe the beach, etc.

I was excited when the section was added to the Mt. Baldy forum, but you'll notice that only 8 discussion threads have developed in the last 10 months:

I think it's a great idea.

I notice you didn't vote, or you voted no. :?

The three people who voted no: comments?

Another related note: the ODC forum is now restrictive and requires paid membership to post, with some exceptions. So I don't think there's really much of a message board for the LA area.

I was also surprised that there weren't more postings on the new section of the San Gabriels message board. You could start one and have the same problem. But you'll never know if you don't do the experiment. I see no harm in trying. :D

The new message board should be up and running by Monday... Hiking, trail running, horseback riding, and mountain biking. The url will be http://www.LAtrails.Net/ not to be confused with http://www.latrails.com/ which is a completely different web site but very useful and highly recommended. Hopefully it can become something positive that LA desperately needs.
