We hiked out to Cucamonga on Friday. Hardly any snow left. No permit and no rangers seen on the trail.

We had originally intended to hike Mt. SJ but changed plans at the last minute to Cucamonga. The Ranger station in Baldy Village was closed when we went by in the AM and the permits for the Cucamonga Wilderness are not self-issue. That's why we had no permit.

They will pin it on the board for you if you remember to call the day before.
