Mt. San Jacinto Outdoor Recreation

How were the conditions? Was anyone climbing straight up the face from the hut?

I am thinking of leaving from Manker tomorrow afternoon and camping somewhere past the hut and then heading back down via Devil's Backbone on Monday.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Sorry, a little late for you, but I was up there on Saturday and posted this trip report.

Conditions are deteriorating fast. I probably won't be back up until after the next storm.

Thanks for the report -- it introduced me to the San Gabriel page which I didn't know about before. I went up late Sunday anyways -- reached the summit around 9:00pm and was back at the car a little after 11:00pm.
