Sorry for the slow reply. You might think that something significant happened this week that made me forget. Anyways, here's another update. I got the round trip crown back using my phone yesterday:
https://www.strava.com/activities/459487085810:48 to beat 11:09 (city hall entrance, cul-de-sac loop, city hall entrance) A glitch gave me a few seconds, but I also ran it a few seconds faster last Saturday.
Uphill segment (111 to Ritz entrance) was 6:13 and that other guy ran 6:00. I believe last Saturday I ran ~6:05 when my watch had GPS problems. To go for the uphill, I'll have to go all out, build up lactic acid, then collapse from exhaustion at the Ritz driveway, then jog down after catching my breath. It would be worth it though.
It was in the low 70's yesterday afternoon and high 60's last Saturday. I'm thinking just running it in the 50's would knock off a few seconds... Less blood flow to the skin, more to the muscles.
