San Gorgonio snow climbs

Howdy All :)

On June 10, Miracle Marilyn, Sister Sally and I headed up the Big Draw (Jepson bowl) to Jepson peak. After lunch on Jepson, we headed along the ridge to Jepson Jr, dropped down to the saddle (Dry Lake View), climbed Little Charlton, then took the ridge by Charlton back down.

Always love the trip reports, Ellen. Currently walking around the neighborhood with a cane, thanks to a hitch near my knee that keeps re-occurring, so I'm envious, but trip reports with photos are the next best thing to being out there.

Wow, I had no idea! BTW, I'll post my question as a separate thread, but after jfr's post about H i d d e n L a k e having water, I'm wondering if we might get a chance to see the Tarn with water in it. I'll post if I get any info. Amazing pics Ellen!

Zip, I don't know if there is water in the Tarn, but I took South Fork Trail to San Gorgonio Peak last week and took the side trip down to Dollar Lake. Hiking down through Dollar Lake Camp was bad...it was all burned up. But when I rounded the last bend, I was overjoyed to find that Dollar Lake had beautiful clear water in it and that the little cirque in which it was nestled had not burned and was alive!
