When I lived in California, I always wanted to do the Ladder Canyon/Painted Canyon loop. The numerous reports of vehicle break-ins kept me away.

That's terrible. I'm planning a trip out in a couple weeks. I guess I'll have to bring along someone to stay and watch the cars. Pretty discouraging.

A little off subject but I was wondering if anyone had any info on the Grotto's and whether they were effected negatively or at all by some of the thunderstorms during the last few months. Has anyone done them recently?

Hi Dan. I might do a little recon this coming weekend for my group that I'm taking in a couple weeks. If I do, I'll try to check out the grottos. I'm still not running, so it will take a lot longer and I might run out of time. I think it may be too sandy to ride a mountain bike, but I just might give that a try. If I do I'll be sure and post. I had a great time on that run with you and the crew. Hoping I can finally finish healing up this knee and get out and scamper about soon.
