Useful Maps for the SGW

Postby Hikin_Jim » Thu Oct 01, 2015 9:46 am

I've put together some maps that one may find useful for the San Gorgonio Wilderness (SGW):

SGW Interactive Map - This is sort of my master map for the SGW. It shows a lot of off trail routes and things that aren't on a lot of topo maps. In addition, I've corrected some of the errors in the USGS/USFS topo maps.

Lake Fire Closure Map - This map shows what's open vs. what's closed as a result of the May 2015 Lake Fire which burned much of the SGW. I had trouble reading some of the maps produced by the USFS (not quite enough resolution), so I plotted things out on a detailed topo. Peak baggers (et al.) should be able to tell what's "in" vs. what's "out" of the closure area.

Hope they're helpful,

HJ
