4 years in the making, I finally found myself on the summit of Mt. Langley.

Day 1 - With the exception of some confusion regarding the numbering of the lakes, things essentially went as planed. Here's a link to the trip report and full gallery:

Great pictures. I've done that hike/climb twice and it's one of my favorites. Your pictures make me want to try to get up there before winter sets in. Looks like you went up New Army Pass?

Love the look on your dogs face. So serious. I bet he was worried about you the whole time.

The TT Rainbow is a great one man tent. I've had mine for about 6 years, and used it in all 3 season weather conditions. It's never disappointed me. Gave mine a little haircut and it's probably under 2 lbs. now.

Looks like a great trip man :)

When he sees me getting ready, my dog does the same thing...He will plant himself in front of the door and kinda nervously anticipate me pulling out his dog pack. Once the dog pack come out its all excitement :) It's really hard to leave him at home when I do dog unfriendly hikes.

We just did Mt Langley last weekend. Wicked hot in Lone Pine but beautiful up at Lake 3, where we set our base camp. The climb to Langley on day 2 was highlighted by seeing two Big Horn Sheep just pass Old Army Pass, and of course the altitude.

We hiked out on Saturday, just as the campsites were filling up with people wishing to see the super blood moon from up high.

A memorable first trip to the Sierras for me.

How'd you like the Fusion 65? The pockets seem a bit on the small side.

I'm a bit disappointed honestly. The pockets are ok, but after some research, it seems that the pack is too short for my torso. Anything above 25 lbs gets uncomfortable quickly.
