Howdy All :)

Due to the heat, Marilyn, Sally and I got an early start up Baldy via Register Ridge on Baldy last Wed. While still climbing, we saw Marilyn gesturing madly and were treated to a herd of big horn sheep.

Sally also took an amazing video which is posted on Facebook.

Then there were the cool clouds and rainbow.

Wonderful photos. In the 1970's, I nearly always saw bighorn sheep on the Bear Flats Trail, and never human beings other than the people I was with, weekends or weekdays. On the Ski Hut Trail, I sometimes saw them on weekdays, on which you normally had the trail to yourself. On Skyline, I've seen both bighorns and deer, but not often and always on weekdays.

Those are great closeups. We saw a herd of maybe 10 ewes on the top of Parsons Peak in Yosemite last weekend. Always feels like a true wilderness when I see them, especially in the high country.
