The last day of our 6 day HST Hike last month. My buddy finally gets his Whitney summit on his third attempt!

Leg 6 (as tracked), Guitar Lake to Mt. Whitney to Whitney Portal:
15.5 miles | | +3305, -6445 || 12 hours

Wow! Interesting that there was snow. I went from Guitar Lake to Whitney to the Portal this past Thursday/Friday. There was not one drop of snow anywhere except for glaciers.

The week prior to starting my hike, Precipice Lake was iced over! How cold did it get on your trip?
