Forsee Creek TH Access

Postby Hikin_Jim » Mon Oct 15, 2007 12:34 pm

Someone recently asked me about the road up to the Forsee Creek TH. I was up there on Saturday. Every car I saw in the TH parking lot was high clearance (although not necessarily 4WD). I took my Honda Accord up most of the way and probably could have gotten all the way to the parking lot but I had 5 people in the car and didn't want to chance it. I just pulled into a turn out 100 or so yds before the parking lot and hiked from there.

The access road isn't very long. One could park along Jenks Lake Road and just walk if one felt uncomfortable driving on the access road or if the conditions were snowy/icy/muddy.

I wish to assure everyone that Johns Meadow was not injured in this collision. :D

You want me to hit that one two? There go my insurance rates.

Felipe, even in my lowest gear, I'll never get my Accord to Limber Pine, although I'm sure he'd enjoy that fresh water that you're talking about.
