Crafts Peak after Butler 2

I have a VERY reliable source who hiked up to my "FAVORITE PEAK" in the Running Springs area of the SBNF. Crafts Peak is the only peak where you can see Big Bear Lake, Lake Arrowhear, and Lake Silverwood as well of having nice views of San G and the Gabriels. I have some good news ..... [size=18][b]The Peak Register is intact and about a dozen trees on the summit survived the inferno.

The Western perimeter fire line was basically Crafts Peak and only west of the Road by 100 yrds or so starting 1/2 south of the summit. North is charred for as far as you can see. East it looks like the fire almost reached Delamar. Butler tower is an island and Grays peak looks pretty charred.

The area is still closed to the public and fire people were seen doing followup work like cutting trees.

Do they know exactly where that fire started & how? What a bummer.
See you out there!
