Lenticular clouds they are called. Look at the now over Big Bear. Grab your cameras and snap away!

These are caused by the Jet stream overhead.

Look man, can you see it from your location in the Coachella Valley? They are also over 29 palms. I posted because they ARE visible from your location. These are great photo ops for photographers and just letting them know to go out there and get the snaps.
It is weather, and you can see it from there. If you couldn't I wouldn't have posted it in a coachella/san jacinto section.

I saw them over Desert Hot Springs tonight. They are not something you see every day. I'm glad this thread didn't go downhill.
