WILDFLOWERS!

Howdy All :)

Sally and I saw an incredible array of wildflowers when we crossed Forsee creek after passing through John's meadow yesterday.

We did the Forsee/John's meadow loop. It was warm and humid but the wildlowers and dip in Forsee creek were worth it. Just beware the gnats between John's meadow and the TH.

Arocknoid will be happy to know that we celebrated with cheeseburgers at the Oaks afterwards 8)

Sally will post pictures soon.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

The wildflowers were spectacular indeed! I think that the masses of pinkish ones may be fireweed. I've seen the brilliant orange ones in the springs along Devil's Slide trail, but I don't know what they are. I guess it's time to get out the ol' wildflower book.

Howdy Sister Sally,
Your pictures confirm that the wildflowers were that awesome.
Forgot to note that we gave the birthday balloon to Dan, a nice guy we met between the San Bernardino peaks. It was his birthday.
Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Ellen, I may have to break down and have a cheeseburger after all. Too de-lish to resist much longer! (and the hot weather makes it harder to keep sushi acceptably cool in the pack for very long...;-)

kind regards,
arocknoid
