Mt. San Jacinto Outdoor Recreation

Another hiker died in Arizona last year due to a swarm of killer bees. He and his two hiking partners fled in panic, and unfortunately one of the trio fell off a cliff to his death. The other two were badly stung, but survived the onslaught.

Horrible way for Steven Johnson to go, hanging in his climbing gear, no doubt banging away the the bee swarm....

"A Tucson climber was found dead, hanging from a southern Arizona cliff in his climbing gear and covered with bee stings....
Search and rescue teams found both Johnson and his dog dead. The dog was on the top of the cliff.

Sheriff's Lt. Raoul Rodriguez says Johnson may have disturbed bees by hammering a spike into the cliff."

I read about that one too...so tragic, what an awful
way to die...trapped. Hope those bees stay in AZ.

Well, that is a honey of a straight line, but as I comb my memory for good puns, hi've not been able to recall a single one. Do I have Alzheimers? Well, that's none of your beeswax, now is it?

That last pun had a real sting to it, didn't it? You probably want to tell me to buzz off...

Thanks, Ellen, I got your point. You know it's a piercing intellect like yours that makes this forum so enjoyable (indeed, I'd say your the queen of this forum in that regard). I don't mean to drone on, but I just wanted to say that I find your remarks to be very sweet (of course that's a conversation of a different stripe entirely). Whoa! Sorry about my swarmy remarks.
