Patrick (Lilbitmo) and I dayhiked Mt. Whitney and several needles & pinnacles last Friday (April 27th). We went up the Main Trail and down the Mountaineers Route. Here are some photos....they are all here: http://calicokat.smugmug.com/Hiking/Sie ... &k=Qnh7nRJ

So glad we got a chance to go up the snow chute between Trail Camp and Trail Crest before the snow was completely gone. The early start helped us get there just in time before it was "mussshhhh".

My feet were numb by the end of the day, not from distance but from number of hours on my feet in full boots.

We caught the weather on a perfect day, great shots Calico Kat, thanks for joining me for another fun day in the Sierra's, I had a blast.

It was topped off by being able to lead two Marines that had just returned from Afghanistan and were sitting on the summit for the first time that wanted the challenge of going out through the MR, we were grateful to do so :D

Looking forward to the next adventure :D
