I backpacked the High Sierra Trail and the John Muir Trail from August 3rd to August 21st. It was quite the experience as the weather did not fully cooperate. I became intimately familiar with Thunderstorms. Congratulations, calicokat! Snow and river crossings last year and relentless thunderstorms this year - you are a trooper! It would have been fun if Ellen and I had crossed trails with you.

The pics are gorgeous as always (although I had trouble playing some of them as a slideshow on smugmug.) Can't wait to read the entire trip report.
