Piezos always fail over time, so you'll be carrying a backup method anyway.
Truly, I don't see the point of a separate piezo ignition. Why not just carry a pack of matches, a lighter, or a fire steel? I think the other options would be more versatile whereas the piezo lighter will only work on the stove. The great convenience of a piezo ignition is that it's
built in and you can light the stove at the click of a button (when it works that is). Make the piezo ignition a separate unit, and what's the point? Maybe a nice gadget, but it doesn't seem really practical. Get ya a nice Bic.
