Don't assume you'll be all alone; although the PCT thru-hikers should have passed through long ago, you should still see a lot of folks out there. Its a really popular hike and you'll be doing it at about 'high-season'. Should be fun, enjoy!

Howdy Phydeux :)

I'm looking forward to seeing other hikers. Sister Sally and Jim (CalicoKat) have told me this is the least solo hike I'll ever do

Howdy Neverwashasbeen :)

Have no fear -- I'll be taking pictures. Wait -- that reminds me -- I need to buy a camera  So many things to do, so little time.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Well well well. Looks like my family and I just might hook up with Ellen at Tuolumne. This would be twice with board folks - Walt and Jean met us up there a couple years ago. In the words of Toby Keith, "I love this board." Ellen, check your pm!

Ellen: Thanks for letting us follow your adventure. I'm sure it'll be beautiful out there this year with all the snow on the mountains. Be careful on those creek crossings if the water is still high.

Here's a site where people post reports about their JMT trek:

Maybe someone will post a report shortly before you head out that will give you a good idea on conditions.

Have fun!!!

Kathy
