Mt. San Jacinto Outdoor Recreation

Here is the website. Jean's been singing lalalalalala everytime I try to talk her into following the race this year. Death Valley, 130º+, watching people run to Mt. Whitney Portal. I was expecting at least one or two desert rats from our area to have entered. Looks like it might be something to interest us old guys. Just follow Hwy-190 out of Death Valley to Hwy-395 and turn north.

Thats insane. I was told about this run by a hiker and I did not believe it. 100 miles from Death Valley to Mt Whitney, but I thought they also ran to the summit. That would be insane. But I'm just a girly-man.

The original race was to the top of Whitney but the Park Service closed that down since they don't allow races inside the parks.
