Especially like this quote:
"He said the new gate will be sturdier but admits it could get torn down as well."
BLM (bureau of land mismanagement) just doesn't get it. They just keep wasting money & then cry cause they don't have any money. This gate's purpose is to keep hikers from finishing the last 1/2 mile of trail to the top where sheep are never seen. anyone venturing past the top will not be detered as there are plenty of shortcuts (sorry hal) to avoid the gate altogether, or just scramble up a small hill on the other side of the gate.
