I took a little hike yesterday to Fish Canyon Falls & Darlin' Donna Falls with my favorite hiking companion, Hikin' Joyce.

Darlin' Donna Falls. This falls reminds me of some of the falls I saw on my trip to Hawaii.

Apparently enthusiasm for hiking runs in the family. Right, Joyce? Joyce? Joyce?

Howdy HJ :)

How cool, I haven't been to these falls.

I almost fell of my chair laughing at your comment for the picture of sleeping beauty.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Oh, you know me, Ellen, always clowning around. :)

Nice set of falls, but really easy to access so quite visited. However, since the primary route crosses a quarry, they're only open once or twice a month. If, on a day they're "closed," you take the round-about route that avoids the quarry, you'd have your own private falls more than likely.

Those falls look really nice. Darlin' Donna DOES look like some falls I saw in Hawaii too. The poppy picture sure is pretty.

You and Joyce crack me up. Sometimes I wish someone could carry me when I get all tuckered out on a hike!

It's a nice little canyon, and both sets of falls are nice. Fish Canyon Falls is one of the nicest falls I know about in S Cal. Quite dramatic and right now really good flow.

Now don't be getting any ideas.

Something about the rhythm of hiking that just does a little person in.

Something about a little one, passed out on her dad, that just makes me smile.

Great pics Jim. Happy times.

I was wondering about canyoneering possibilities to myself. The rock right around the falls looks really solid.
