NOAA Windchill calculator

Postby Norris » Sat Jan 08, 2011 11:46 am

I found a windchill calculator from NOAA here: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/srh/ssd/html/windchil.htm
Using it, I determined that even though the temp on San G will be 38 tomorrow, with gusts up to 45 mph at the summit the effective temperature will be 23 degrees. Now all I need is a chart that tells me how much wind speed is needed to knock a 220 lb person out of their tracks :-)

Howdy Norris :)

Hilarious post -- I hear you about the wind knocking you off your tracks -- happened to one of my friends on a very windy day on San J last week. Miss seeing you! Have a great day on San G and please post a trip report.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen
