Hikers lost and found on Whitney

Postby Cy Kaicener » Fri Oct 22, 2010 9:49 pm

The last two hikers have been found. They walked out on their own at Cedar Grove about 50 miles away from their start. (summitpost)

I read some of the newspaper accounts. There are very few (if any) details available about what happened to the two that walked out on their own. Anyone aware of a site that might have their story? I bet it'd make interesting reading.

I wonder if Cedar Grove (Kings Canyon NP I assume) was their intended destination or their destination of necessity?
