Check out the Coachella Valley Hiking Club for some of the hikes that we have been wanting to do. The best ones start on March 28 through the end of April.

Cy,

Those are some interesting, and challenging, hikes--ones that I'd like to do sometime.

Thanks for sharing the info.

I see there doing Guadalupe April 7th. I'll see if they will let me go along if I haven't done it by then.

They are also doing Rabbit Peak from Oasis - that would be a good one. I've only done Rabbit via Villager Peak starting on S22.

Kathy:

Here's a link (below) to a webpage created by the guy who led me and several other hikers from La Quinta to the Sugar Loaf Cafe via the Boo Hoff Trail. I'm going to email him to see if he has the way points. I do remember the trail well; however, I want to have the waypoints just in case.

One cool thing about the Santa Rosas is all the interesting names: Horsethief Creek, Sawmill Trail, Cactus Springs, Sugar Loaf Cafe, Rabbit Peak.
