This is an attempt by Rick Kent to do Rattlesnake, Baden Powell, Iron and Baldy in one day from Heaton Flats at the San Gabriel River (elevation 1500 feet)

This epic took him 31 hours with over 10,000 feet of gain. Now I know why he usually hikes solo. He took 327 pictures

Twice I have hiked portions of hikes he has posted. Neither time was I able to even get close the the speed he achives. On the 2nd one I looked at the route planned to go from 1 peak to the next and declined to continue. This guy can walk up walls.
I enjoy just reading the TR he posts. I am constantly amazed at the where, what and when of his talent. Hard work has turned him into a complete mountaineering machine.
If father time is catching up to Rick then father time is a hiking son of a gun.

Maybe father time got too tired chasing him and is playing tag team with mother nature. soaking the chaparral with that drizzle worked this time.
