I second that Alan, you don't see them closing Mt. Everest.

If they're going to kill the bear, why not just feed him til he's too fat to attack anybody? He'd be one happy bear, and while he may die young from obesity, but I bet that's a chance he's willing to take.

It's totally different because families have picnics at Forest Falls. Of course they are going to shut down the area with a bear walking around looking for food. The constant supply of food keeps the bear there, and not all parents are responsible enough to watch their kids.

I don't think they want to kill the bear. I heard they want to relocate it.
It's still closed right? Why? because somebody thinks people might get hurt or die. meanwhile three people are died on skyline. Guess nobody thinks that's serious. Maybe they should just put some signs up saying a bear is messing with people. and let them decide if they want to go. Like Skyline.

you know what, more people die riding motorcycles. riding in cars. etc...

why don't we try to ban every activity that may result in death?

Or, why not just close the picnic area. That's the problem right?

If I see a bear, I'm just going to hike right by him.

I'm not going to walk up to him and give him a sandwich and take a bunch of stupid pictures with me petting the bear.
