It's possible that I hold the record speed for the JMT: 26 days! (The slowest speed, that is.)

I'll be following you with the SPOT link and cheering you on your way. At least this year we probably won't have to wonder "Why is Ellen going THAT way?!"

I'll be with you in spirit, friend. Talk to you before you shove off.

Sounds like one of those 60's/70's Japanese monster films. "Rodan vs. Godzilla" etc. Only we'll have to do better than "Ellen." I mean whose going to be afraid of a "monster" with a nice name of "Ellen." Then again, that is a name associated with much bloodshed... ;)

It appears that Ellen spent the night at Garnet Lake last night. That makes her about one day off schedule. I hope it's because she's being laid back and smelling the roses.

Walk on, Ellen!

If I'm reading the SPOT map correctly, she's now very near the Reds Meadow Pack Station. Probably eating ice cream and stocking up on supplies. Go Ellen!

I hope a Reds Meadow pancake breakfast is in her plans for tomorrow morning.

But probably no photos. I swear I'm going over to Ellen's house just to train her personally. ;)
